About the opportunity
Halda is the AI enrollment platform for Higher Ed and K12. We help colleges, universities and K12 schools enroll their class with industry leading efficiency leveraging an AI agent that synchronizes recruitment communication across web, email, SMS and voice, building context over time so every touch is smarter than the last.
We're looking for a vice president of revenue to own the whole revenue engine: winning new schools and expanding with the ones we've earned (New business, GRR, and NRR). Two teams, one number, one leader who thinks about a customer's tenth year as carefully as their first quarter.
You'll inherit two teams on day one, a new-business org and a renewals org, and a mandate to make them operate as a single motion. If you've only ever carried a new-logo quota or only ever run retention, this isn't the seat. We want someone who's done both and can prove it.
What you'll do
- Full revenue number. New business, GRR (gross revenue retention) and NRR (net revenue retention) all roll up to you. You set the plan, the pipeline math and the forecast, and you're the person in the room when the board asks how the year is tracking.
- Two teams, one motion. Lead and grow the new-business and renewals orgs so they hand off cleanly instead of pointing fingers. Shared definitions, shared data, one story about every account.
- Net revenue retention. Make renewals an expansion engine. Own gross retention, expansion and the churn we can actually prevent.
- Go-to-market rigor. Build the forecasting, pipeline and comp discipline that lets us scale past founder-led selling. Real stages, honest numbers, no hopium in the pipeline.
- Pricing and packaging. Partner with product and marketing on how we price, package and position across higher ed and K-12.
- The bench. Hire, coach and keep the people who'll carry the number as we grow. Set the bar and hold it.
What we're looking for
You've led revenue at a B2B SaaS company and you've carried both sides of the house: net-new sales and renewals or expansion. Bonus points if you've knit them together before under a single P&L.
- Eight-plus years in B2B SaaS revenue roles, with at least three leading teams of teams (managers reporting to you, not just reps).
- Direct ownership of both new business and renewals or account management. You can talk about NRR and new-logo ACV with equal fluency.
- A track record of building forecasting and pipeline discipline that survived board scrutiny.
- Experience in higher ed or K-12 edtech, or a fast, credible plan for how you'll learn a market where the buyers are vice presidents of enrollment and directors of admissions, and the sales cycle runs on academic calendars.
- You've scaled a revenue org through a growth stage. Running a mature, humming org is a different skill and isn't what this seat needs. You're comfortable when the playbook is still being written.
- You lead with empathy and a spine. You can push a team hard and keep them.
